Open houses with hosts
From
22 June
To
16 August
Every day
This summer, several houses in the open-air museum will have hosts welcoming you inside.
Step into Queen Sonja's childhood home, Garmo stave church, The Parsonage and Bjørnstad, where our knowledgeable hosts are ready to share stories and insights.
A new addition this year is that Skjåktunet and the House from the 1980s and 1990s has a host.
You can also peek into many open historic houses and homes as you wander through the open-air museum.
- On Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer, the DNT cabin Gråhøgdbu is open with a cabin host. Volunteers from DNT Lillehammer share insights into the conditions of the wild reindeer in Rondane and the activities offered by DNT Lillehammer.
- On selected days at Åseng, you can also meet members from the Oppland Farmers and Smallholders Association, eager to share their knowledge on rural traditions.
