In the summer you can see Maihaugen's animals out in the fields in the open-air museum.
During summer, you can see Maihaugen's animals grazing in the fields throughout the open-air museum.
The museum is home to a variety of traditional farm animals, including horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and hens.
The sheep stay outdoors all year round, while the other animals are out in the fields from early summer until the autumn break in mid-October—weather permitting.
The animals are moved between different areas of the open-air museum during the season.
If you would like to know where to find the animals on the day of your visit, please ask at the visitor centre.
