Spring vibes in the open-air museum
Spring is in the air at Maihaugen – the ice is melting on the ponds, water is dripping from the roofs, and birdsong fills the open-air museum. Take a scenic and educational walk among historic houses and farmyards. Some of the houses are open, so you can peek inside. For the kids, the museum offers plenty of space for play and exploration
Engaging exhibitions
Feel the rhythm, music and joy of dance in the exhibition Dance Dance Dance, showcasing diverse dance scenes from the Gudbrandsdalen valley. Don’t miss our permanent exhibition Impulses, where we display some of the museum’s finest treasures. You’ll find even more exhibitions in the visitor centre at Maihaugen.
Extended opening hours
During Easter, we are open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Closed on Mondays.
