At Maihaugen, you can wander through vibrant historical settings in the open-air museum.

In the Rural Section, farmsteads from the 18th and 19th centuries stand as they once did, while the mountain pasture area lies beautifully in the landscape.

The Residential Area showcases homes from different decades of the 20th century, and in the Town, you’ll find buildings that paint a picture of a typical inland city. Indoors, several cultural history exhibitions await.

Throughout December and until January 13, we offer daily guided tours of the Christmas-decorated houses — both in the Rural Section and the Residential Area.
