Exhibition on tapestry in dialogue with Maihaugen.
Inger Holbø grew up in an artist family at Lillehammer. Her father and grandfather, Halvdan and Kristen Holbø, were performing artists.
Inger was educated at Statens håndverks og kunstindustriskole, Oslo, 1967 – 1971.
The exhibition contains 18 large tapestries and 20 pillows, also in tapestry. These are shown in dialogue with some of Maihaugen’s own textiles.
Inspiration from Maihaugen is shown in several of the tapestries at the exhibition.
This exhibition will be the last in Sandvigsalen before a large, permanent exhibition on cultural history will be opened February 2020.
