This year, jewelery artist Anna Talbot has decorating Maihaugen's Christmas tree.

Every year an artist or designer has given Maihaugen's Christmas tree their own expression.
Anna Talbot has filled the tree with colorful figures inspired by angels, reindeer and birds.
Fairy tale jewelry
Anna Talbot (b. 1978) was born in Leeds, UK, but now lives in Oslo. She is an educated jewelery artist from Norway and UK and has attended exhibitions in many countries around the world.
Tabot is known for her large pieces of jewelry inspired by fairy tales. She likes to use anodized aluminum, wood veneer, brass, gilding metal and silver and works in layers to build up a three-dimensional piece, almost like a theater stage.
The Christmas tree decorations for Maihaugen's Christmas tree are constructed in the same way from anodized aluminum and wood.
– I have always been fond of ornaments, colours, decorations and a bit of kitsch - and Christmas provides an opportunity to combine all of these, says Anna Talbot.
Different artists
The first artist to design decorations for Maihaugen's Christmas tree was Per Spook in 2008. He decorated it with glass art. Since then the tree has been decorated by different artists and designers every year.
