Midsummer at Maihaugen is celebrated with a bonfire, music and activities for the whole family!
Midsummer is one of the major annual events at Maihaugen. The open-air museum comes to life with concerts, dancing, costumed actors, hosts in historical houses, skilled craftsmen demonstrating traditional handicrafts, and a variety of activities for children.
Every year, Maihaugen collaborates with a municipality in the Gudbrandsdalen Valley. This year, the municipalities of Sør-Fron and Nord-Fron have the opportunity to showcase their local culture on the outdoor stage and in various locations throughout the museum.

The highlight of the evening is the moment when the bonfire by the lake is set ablaze.
Food and beverages are sold in different places in the open-air-museum, or you can bring a picnic basket and enjoy your food in beautiful surroundings.
