18.00 - 23.00
Midsummer Eve at Maihaugen is celebrated with a bonfire, music and activities for the whole family!
Midsummer is one of the major annual events at Maihaugen. The open-air museum comes to life with concerts, dancing, costumed actors, hosts in historic houses, skilled craftspeople demonstrating traditional techniques, and a variety of activities for children.
Every year, Maihaugen collaborates with a municipality in the Gudbrandsdalen Valley. This year, Vågå will showcase its local culture on the outdoor stage and around the museum.
For many, the highlight of the evening is the bonfire lighting at 9 pm.
Food and beverages are available fpr purchase at a few locations throughout the open-air museum, or you are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy it in the beautiful surroundings.
More information about this year’s programme will be published soon.
