Explore what’s on
19 May–21 June
Maihaugen Open-Air Museum is coming to life for the summer, and there’s already plenty to see and do.
Visit Garmo Stave Church and the schoolhouse, where knowledgeable hosts are on hand to welcome you and share their stories.
You can also step inside Queen Sonja’s childhood home, a functionalist house from 1935 with a unique history. See how the house looked when the Queen lived there and learn more from our hosts.
More and more animals are now being let out to graze in the open-air museum. Come and see them – some with their adorable newborns.
Below, you will find a selection of highlights to experience in the early summer.
