Maihaugen in just an hour! If you do not have a lot of time to spend, this route will give you the highlights.

1. June

31. August

All day

Why not take a walk on your own in the beautiful open-air museum? You can choose to spend a whole day exploring historic houses and homes, or you can go for our 60 minute-highlight-tour.

This route takes you through Maihaugen's three parts: the Rural area, the Residencial area og the Town. The tour is about 2,4 kilometers. In steps about 3000.

If you have more time when you are done with this route, we also recomend a visit to The Norwegian Postal Museum in the Town section in the open-air museum. And do not miss the museum shops.

Get your map with the recommended route in the visitor center.
